Peptide Reconstitution Calculator

Use this free peptide reconstitution calculator to work out the concentration, draw volume, insulin-syringe units, and number of draws per vial after reconstituting a lyophilized research peptide with bacteriostatic or sterile water. For laboratory research planning only.

For laboratory research planning only. This tool does not provide medical, dosing, or human-use guidance. All products are for research use only and are not for human or veterinary use.

How to use the calculator

  1. Enter the amount of peptide in the vial (mg) — shown on the product label and certificate of analysis.
  2. Enter the volume of bacteriostatic (or sterile) water you plan to add (mL).
  3. Enter your target amount per draw and choose mcg or mg.

The calculator instantly returns the solution concentration, the draw volume for your target amount, the equivalent marking on a U-100 insulin syringe, and how many draws the vial provides.

How reconstitution math works

Concentration is simply the peptide mass divided by the diluent volume. For example, adding 2 mL of bacteriostatic water to a 10 mg vial gives 5 mg/mL (5,000 mcg/mL). The draw volume for a target amount is that amount divided by the concentration, and on a U-100 insulin syringe each 1 mL equals 100 units. Choosing a larger diluent volume makes each draw larger and easier to measure.
